WHAT IT IS
VISTRA Omega Concentrate x3 rTG is the concentrated fish oil capsule in the range: 1,150 mg of Norwegian Epax® fish oil in re-esterified triglyceride (rTG) form, giving 970 mg of omega-3 with 552 mg EPA and 368 mg DHA.

Each capsule provides 1150 mg of highly concentrated fish oil, delivering 970 mg of omega-3 made up of 552 mg EPA and 368 mg DHA, in the re-esterified triglyceride (rTG) form. The fish oil is imported from Norway (Epax®). 30 capsules per bottle.

Where do I look on the label if I am allergic to fish or soy?
Look for the allergen statement printed near the ingredient list. In this range, Omega Concentrate x3 rTG declares fish, Odorless Fish Oil 1000 mg declares fish and soy, and the astaxanthin products, Acerola Cherry 1000 mg and Bon-Activ UC-II 40 mg declare soy. The remaining products print no allergen statement. If you have a history of food allergy, read the label every time and speak to a doctor or pharmacist.
What is omega-3?
Omega-3 is a group of essential fatty acids abundant in fish oil, comprising EPA and DHA, which must be obtained from the diet.
What is the difference between EPA and DHA?
They differ in chain length and number of double bonds: EPA has 20 carbons and 5 double bonds, DHA has 22 carbons and 6. Both are long-chain omega-3 fatty acids that originate in marine microalgae and accumulate up the food chain into oily fish. Labels normally declare the two amounts separately.
What does rTG mean on a fish oil label?
rTG stands for re-esterified triglyceride and describes the chemical form of the oil. Natural fish oil is in the triglyceride form; concentrating it produces ethyl esters, and converting those back to triglycerides gives rTG. The term therefore describes the process, not the amount of EPA and DHA, which has to be read separately from the ingredient table.
